Now that the SuperBowl is over, it’s time for football fans to take a break. They can put their face paint, football jerseys and foam fingers into storage until fall. They may choose to follow basketball and the upcoming college March Madness or slide over to the hockey arena to watch players go at it on the ice. Others will wait for baseball spring training while still others will look for arena football and other options to get them through until August.
Of course, the truly diehard football fans aren’t going to sit around waiting. They will be watching the game over and over on their TiVo and pulling out recordings of their favorite games from this season and previous seasons. Those with full season passes on their DVR may still have some games that they never got around to watching. There’s no reason they can’t ration their viewing so that they will have football to keep them entertained through the summer.
The easiest way to tell a true football fanatic from a simple fan is by the amount of memorabilia and other stuff they possess. A man cave filled with football photos, pennants, jerseys and signed footballs is a good indicator. If they show up to every costume party in mascot costumes for their favorite college and pro teams or come dressed as their favorite player, that’s another good indication. These are the fans that are guaranteed to be able to talk about football any time of the year.
Head out to spend some time with the Irish. Watch out for Beer Pong night. This could get even the adults into some trouble. They have a good take on pub food with drink and food specials through out the week.
There is a completely different scene going on at Evviva Bar and Eatery also known as Pazzo’s Bar and Eatery. This is were they spice it up in town. The entertainment is hot with some dueling piano nights and some DJ nights as well as other acts that may stop in. They have some great Italian food especially their pizza. The staff is friendly and they are having a good time. So take your pick or stay long enough to hit them all.
